Today Captain Gordillo moved EC-XLL to Aeroporto Internacional de Natal. This is required in order to depart South America and fly the Atlantic. All flights leaving the country need to depart from an International airport.

Michel will then depart Natal in early morning (before sunrise) where he will turn the aircraft to a heading of 038 degrees and keep flying for 2650 kilometers. The reason for the early morning departure is so most of the flight (especially the landing) can be in daylight. Additionally, ditching the aircraft in the water at night is not recommended!

The flight across the Atlantic Ocean will take 10-11 hours provided that Michel does not have to deviate for clouds or head winds.
