I have to have everything ready to depart November the 15th.

But it does´t mean I will be able to depart then.

Although it is true that things are improving  and next week the Spanish Polar Committee CPE will have the requested documents from Granada´s University, where they accept the responsibility of the scientific project, there is still a problem pending: the CPE feels not confident about a plane flying across Antarctica, as they never cleared one before.

But with the new help of people that I will list some day, I hope that I will go through. So, if I get the permit in time, it would be nonsense not to be ready !

Meanwhile, I keep working. The belly tank is sealed and I have built the anchoring system from a huge steel bolt.

Another good new: My friend Juan Carreto (wannabe earthrounder) is sponsoring skypolaris with a Iridium Extreme Satellite system. With it, the airplane can be tracked on real time and also we can communicate via SMS anywhere in the world.

Pues si: corriendo para salir el 15 de Noviembre.

Pero no significa que lo haga, porque incluso recibiendo la semana que viene el Comité Polar Español CPE el aval de la Universidad de Granada, aun no están convencidos sobre la operación de un avión sobre la Antártida, ya que nunca lo han autorizado hasta la fecha.

Pero ahora, con la ayuda de varias personas que mencionaré en su día, espero que por fin se decidan. Y si lo hacen en tiempo y forma, evidentemente tendría que estar todo listo.

Mientras, sigo trabajando en el depósito que va en la panza del avión. Ya está sellado y acabo de terminar la anilla que permite su sujeción al lanzador. Como material base, he utilizado un sendo tornillo de 30 mm de diámetro de acero del 8.

Otra muy buena noticia es que mi amigo y futuro ¨Earthrounder¨ Juan Cerrato, patrocina a Cielo Polar con un equipo de comunicaciones via satélite Iridium Extreme. Ello permitirá seguir el vuelo en tiempo real e incluso intercambiar SMS con vosotros, desde cualquier punto del globo.
