Natal, Brazil – AGAIN!
For the second time the Sky Polaris project has reached the Brazilian coastal city of Natal. If you remember, shortly after leaving Madrid in February, Natal was Captain Gordillo’s first landing in South America. After flying across the Atlantic from the continent of Africa, Gordillo began the long trip northbound crossing the Americas, the north pole, and Europe.
After flying for over 7 hours from Brasillia, Michel reached the small airport of Sao Jose de Mipibu just South of the city of Natal.
As we have mentioned before, upon reaching Natal, Michel HAS FLOWN AROUND THE WORLD WHILE CROSSING THE EARTH’S POLES! He has achieved his goal and has accomplished an enormous feat. Few, if any, pilots have done this. He deserves congratulations by everyone who is tracking this project.
BUT WAIT! The project is not over. In order to officially qualify for the FAI record – one of the goals of the project, he must fly EC-XLL back to Madrid. That is no problem as that is Michel’s home base. If everything goes according to plan, Michel will be arriving there within 10 days .
Congratulations AGAIN Michel! This is just one of a long list of great aviation accomplishments.
Michel will spend a few days at Natal before flying to Fortaleza, Brazil for the long flight across the Atlantic with a landing at the island country of Cabo Verde, Africa.
