Hello Sky Polaris readers and followers of Michel Gordillo’s flight around the world. He has informed me that he will depart from Jerez, Spain on Saturday 2/20/2016 and fly over-water instead of over Morocco due to icing conditions. His route will take him abeam the Canary Islands, over Mauritania, and then to Dakar, Senegal.

We want you to track the flight real-time and have the technology to do it. The Sky Polaris RV-8 has GPS tracking on board that gives a real-time location every 60 seconds. This will enable all of us to see the actual track, speed, heading, location, etc that Michel is flying! This is exciting and will enable all of us to feel like we are flying there with him.

Michel also has a cell phone, satellite phone, cameras and will send this web site photos, videos, and news of the flight whenever he can.
